In 1988 Ron and Rand Ran Campaign for Legalized H, Cocaine!!!!!!!!!!!!
By: Ben Franklin | Comments(12) | Under: Misc
From the Ocala Star Banner, way back on Jan. 15 1988, when Rand Paul was Ron Paul’s aide-de-camp, comes this quote-
“What do libertarians stand for? Liberty! That sums it up. But when nuts and bolts are attached to that sleek campaign vehicle, they snag on the public fabric. Consider drugs. When Ron Paul conceded that the liberty ticket embraces free access to hard drugs like cocaine and heroin, I sympathized with his plight.”

The War on Drugs is a complete failure. We as a nation should blush in regards to how many non-violent drug offenders are spending their lives locked up in prisons. Noone is advocating the use of hard drugs, but most people are increasingly aware of our government’s failed efforts.
Look at the big picture, Dr. Paul stands for real American values. We need someone on the hill with the credibility to advocate family values, building up one’s sense of community, and charity as well. War (on drugs or otherwise) is never the answer, and only an excuse for our government to further expand.
Rand Paul is one of the few candidates who has a real sense of whats happening in America.

Mike knows this, Despite the war on drugs spending billions he sits in the middle of the Hillbilly Heroin Capital of the world. He would rather waste MORE tax dollars NOT solving the problem then treating it as a public health issue. Mike too Wacky to run a Website.

Ahem, ending federal support for the drug problem is not the solutoin. More treatment, more prevention, and smarter law enforcement on things like Drug Courts are the answers.
I’ll make you militia washouts a deal though- you come to Eastern KY and tell the peolpe who’re dealing with drugs day in and day out your solution and I’ll tell em mine and we’ll see whose they choose.
What about it, debate anyone?

Don’t let them shake you Ben. They’re up in arms because all of Rand Paul’s kooky statments and stances are now coming to light. Maybe they can attempt to bully people who dare show up at Paul events that oppose him, then post it on YouTube because they’re own egos tell them it’s funny, but they can’t hide from their guy’s crazy ideas he spouted on behalf of his father.

I am starting to suspect that BF and JQA are BOTH Mike. Does anyone else share this theory? You know what they say about people who talk to themselves?

Hey Ben,
Would you care to tell me what went on at the Hellfire Club meetings you attended? Also could you go into more details about what you meant in your essay “Why Older Women Make Better Mistresses.”

I guess your idea of the land of the free is having, by far the most people incarcerated, more than any other country in the world.
China comes in a distant 2nd.
freedom to do as you see fit to your own body, unless I disagree that is then you go to jail. Is this really what a free country would do?
has this approach decreased drug use?
doesn’t this just feed money and power to the criminals that sell on the black market?
does our drug policy increase the power of government to invade and search our private property?
why should I support the failed war on drugs….. Hmmm…?

First of all: your comment box has terrible colors. Tan on slightly lighter tan? I can hardly read what I’m writing.
It’s easy to quote someone saying something unexpected and then call them “kooky.” What’s difficult, however, is to point out exactly why the quoted statement is, in fact, actually “kooky.”
Ending the drug war, for instance. You make no effort to refute the arguments of anti-drug-war proponents. I wish that you would.
You can start here: the drug war makes drugs less safe, as they cannot be properly regulated, and increases profits for the most violent and dangerous of drug sellers, as the weaker ones get forced out of the market through violence. Legalizing would end the violence.

We the people are full of sin. That is why we need to elect politicians to lock us up in prison when we sin.
